You think you can pass this test without using your computer to cheat? I can’t and I doubt if you can either. This came from Jordan Maxwell’s site.
Take the test (.pdf file - you must have Adobe Reader which is free)

A few of those questions seem kind of odd. The Fundamental Rules of Arithmetic? I’m certain I’ve never heard of that before. Also, some of the questions seem rather specific to the late 19th century and Kansas in particular, but it is odd that you’d be more likely today to find questions like that on college exams.
@ Cody, you gotta be kidding me, can’t believe you said what you said. Fundamental Rules of Arithmetic??? You’ve never heard of addition, subtraction, multiplication or division? Don’t tell you got thrown off by the title? In fact, the title should have given you a clue, “FUNDAMENTAL”. What is the first thing you learn in maths? You learn how to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
No shit, some of the questions are specific to the late 19th century and Kansas in particular! Did you not see when and where this test was given?
Can you not instantly see the difference in level between this type of exam compared to modern day tests? The way in which questions are phrased and also the content that has been taught.
Each generation is growing dumber and dumber as the years go by and it’s not funny. Fucking bling bling and obsession with fame, pop culture. When did mediocrity become acceptable? Big Brother, American Idol, Talkshows like Jerry Springer, Oprah (fuck Oprah) etc….
Yeah, we are thick…
I’ve never heard them referred to as such, that’s what I meant. There’s no need to be insulting about it.
I think that Americans in general know many things that those in 1895. On the other hand, they also knew some things that we don’t. In addition, there is more information to be learned and the world is more complex in some ways. Therefore, Americans have been forced to possess less knowledge of facts and replace it with better critical thinking skills.
Unfortunately, it is true though that America’s work ethic is not as strong. This is the real problem with the American culture!
We know a LOT more than they did in 1895!
We know Britney wears no panties, Paris gives monster head, Flav-a-Flav can never find love, and the Brangelina twins are still overdue.
Yeah, we all know more than our ancestors…..but I’d argue that what we know, by and large, isn’t ‘the right stuff’.
i actually don’t see anything wrong with many of the questions, except that i would need some definitions, but also some common knowledge from that time like when the test assumes you know at what rate the interest is added on.
What i would really be screwed on would be English. I am terrible in English class. However, I believe this syndrome common to the American public with the decline of mail system usage, and rise of the telephone, and telecommunications.
